Delete your data
You can delete everything Sempa holds about you whenever you want. The fastest way takes a few seconds in the app. If you no longer have the app, or you would rather we did it, ask us and we will.
In the app
- Open Sempa and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Your data.
- Tap Delete my data and confirm twice.
It happens immediately. The app signs itself out afterwards, because there is nothing left for it to show.
By asking us
Write to us from the email address your coach invited, so we can tell which account is yours. Say that you want your data deleted. You do not need to give a reason.
We will confirm when it is done, within 30 days and usually the same week.
What gets deleted
| Recordings | Every recording, its transcript, and the moments you marked. The audio itself was already deleted when it was transcribed. |
| What Sempa learned | Everything it concluded about how you work, your goals, your plan and your progress. |
| Your chat | The conversation with Sempa in the app. |
| Microsoft 365 | The stored sign-in, if you connected it. Your email and chats were never stored in the first place. |
| The stored sign-in, if you connected it, and Sempa's access is taken back at Google. Your email and calendar were never stored in the first place. | |
| Claude chats | Anything you chose to share, and what was read from it. |
| Your phones | Every paired phone is signed out. |
One thing stays: your place with your coach. A coach set up a place for you and it is theirs, not ours, to take away — so your name and the topic you were being coached on remain, and nothing Sempa gathered does. In practice your coach can start you again from nothing. If you want that place removed too, say so in your message and we will ask them.
If a recording is still being read
A recording Sempa is part-way through transcribing cannot be deleted at that moment, because the transcription is still writing to it. The app will say so and tell you how many. Try again in a few minutes and they will go.
Changed your mind?
Deleting cannot be undone, and we keep no copy to restore from. If you only wanted to stop one thing, there are smaller options: delete a single recording from the Recordings tab, disconnect Microsoft 365 or Google in Settings, turn notifications off, or unpair the phone and keep your data.
